1. How will the PlayTV Tuner connect to PS3?

Easily - the PlayTV Tuner connects with a USB 2.0 cable which is supplied in the box.

2. How many channels will PlayTV users get?

The number of channels varies from country to country, so for example in the UK there are already more than 40 channels available and in France more than 20. Click here www.freeview.co.uk for more information.

3. Is HD broadcast supported by PlayTV?

At the present time, HD broadcast is not supported by PlayTV.

4. How much will PlayTV cost – and when is the launch date?

PlayTV is very competitively priced at £69.99 RRP and will launch in the UK in September 2008.

5. How much recording time will the PS3 hard drive provide when used with PlayTV?

It depends on the TV programmes you record. Typically, for Standard Definition TV, you can reliably store one hour of TV on one gigabyte of disk space.

6. Is it possible to record television with PlayTV whilst playing a game?

Yes. With PlayTV you can record TV programmes in the background which means you can continue to play PlayStation and PS3 games or watch Blu-ray Disc or DVD movies on your PS3 with no interruptions. (*Some games, DVDs, Blu-ray Disc movies might not work properly.)

7. Can PlayTV export content / files to PSP / other portable devices?

No. We have built PlayTV to support “Remote Play” between PS3 and PSP in order for programming to be viewed wherever and whenever without taking up valuable storage space.

8. Can PlayTV record on an external HDD?

No, PlayTV cannot record on an external HDD.

9. Do you need to leave your PS3 on if you set a recording with PlayTV?

No. The PS3 just needs to be in stand-by mode. The PS3 will wake its self up, record and shut its self down.

10. What sort of guarantee will PlayTV have?

PlayTV is supplied with a 1 year warranty.
